Homage to a Holiday Classic
When Vintage Guitar Magazine commissioned me to do an illustration for their Christmas Cards, I had to consider the target audience: male baby boomers with a penchant for collectible guitars. Using a thematic homage to the stop-motion animation of Rankin Bass seemed to strike the right chord. I used a combination of Illustrator, the now defunct Dimensions (to create 3D elements) and Photoshop to add more dramatic lighting.
